Sanatan Dharma - Dhrh

Postby Rumpelteazer » Sat Oct 08, 2011 11:23 am

Starting from the first principle of Sanatan Dharma - Dhrh - meaning "confidence and patience", our meeting taker put together a paper based on themes from a poem by Sri Chinmoy about inner confidence.

The paper includes quotations from a variety of sources, including bringing together ideas from H.H. and Mr Ouspensky.

A key question concerned how these themes are related to confidence - love for what is real in us, destruction of negative thoughts, and transformation of imaginings into reality. Perhaps the answer lies in the first of these: if we truly love what is real, it is only natural to turn away from what is unreal, as in the prayer for liberation that H.H. gave us:
Lead me from the unreal to the real. Lead me from darkness to light and lead me from death to immortality.
