At out meeting on Tuesday the 3rd of November we discussed the relevance of ' Love the Truth and Leave the Untruth .'
The Group felt that by leaving the ' untruth ' we were drawn toward the present moment and that this in itself helped to cleanse Buddhi.

There was a confidence that we could leave aside concern about the past and an improbable future. In a way we had no control over what had gone anyway and what was to come was somehow in the hands of Param Atman.

All in all it helped us to understand that the most important aspect ,was to be available for and in each moment.

We ended by considering the story of the Man with the Lantern and that we would, endeavour throughout the coming days to remember that the ' Present is always lit' and that we have a responsibility to Be, to Be present whenever we remember or are ' Remembered.

Hello Terence129. Our Group in Cheltenham is about the same size as yours. We meet every week and take it in turns to be Group Taker. We studied the Good Company 2 paper right at the beginning of term. It's interesting to see how different groups focus on quite different aspects of the same paper.

Last week our Group Taker brought along Unity III - another New York paper. (Fiona's meeting report on it is here.) This has much more in it about "Love the Truth and Leave the Untruth" and is another superb paper. Our Group Taker only had a paper copy so Richard, the forum Administrator, is trying to track down an electronic version for loading into the archive and attaching to our meeting report.
